Dear Sirs,

Thomas Vrhel has performed adequately  in graduate level computer  science
courses, including  CS222  taught  by  myself, and  CS227  taught  by  Tom
Binford.  While  his performance  was not  equal  to that  of the  CS  PhD
students in CS222, he did complete the course work and earn a grade of  B.
He is quite  eager to  join the coterminal  master's program  here, and  I
believe that,  were he  admitted, he  would  be able  to handle  both  the
courses and the  comprehensive.  He is  roughly within the  top 5% of  his
fellow seniors with respect to fitness for this program, and he has a good
mastery of socialization skills.  I would  estimate that he is at  roughly
the 50%  mark  compared  to  our other  Masters  students.   In  brief,  I
recommend him for admittance into the coterminal program.
